I’m writing this under the influence of painkillers, a few hours sleep on Sunday and on my way to the airport. Similar to previous reports, “who happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas” 😉
It was good to be back after a short hiatus. Body and mind have been so-so lately but it felt right to show up and see what the night may become. Despite the “back to school” theme I showed up in a basketball outfit and the best I could do was to pass off as a basketball coach. It was good to see a lot of familiar faces and finally put faces to names (e.g. Abby). Also, Yat – really sorry for not remembering your face even though we’ve met before.
The night started a little slow and most rooms were still vacant when I showed up before 9pm, which was OK as everyone was enjoying each other’s company. More people started to arrive after 9pm and things heated up a little – more people were moving into rooms and the rest started breaking into smaller group for games.
Fast forward to after midnight and just as I was thinking about leaving for a midnight snack, Olive invited me to spend some 1:1 time together which I gladly accepted. It’s always flattering to be invited…. to be wanted…. And I was in for a surprise.
I spent a lot of time talking….much, much more than I thought we would. It turns out we have a lot in common – tattoo’s, dogs (we’re both pawrents) and when it comes to sex(ual practices) we see eye-to-eye on many levels. I was relieved to meet someone who shared many of the frustrations and the joys of extracurricular fun. I took away a lot from our conversations and I almost feel like I’ve found a new direction sexually.
Of course it wasn’t just all conversation and that area, Olive definitely surprised me with a few things I would not expect from most partners. So a massive thank you to Olive for sharing your mind and showing this old dog some new tricks 😝
Time flew by super quick and the way our evening ended was almost comical:
J: “Oh shit it’s 3am we should probably shower”
O: “Oh shit it’s late let’s go”
So yeah we spent nearly 3 hours together, which I did not see coming. As we came out of our room we found the lounge area to be pretty quiet – some were brushing their teeth/ drying their hair, some had already laid out on the sofa ready for an overnighter. Meow, who was half-sleep also greeted me with a “I’ve been waiting for your bed so I can sleep”
The drive home was sublime – very few cars and people, just me and the highway with Cantopop in the background. A wonderful way to end a wonderful evening.
P.S. So coming back to the topic – school’s reopened for me and I was taught a few thing’s that night.
